What must a mortgage website display?

At minimum, most mortgage websites show the loan officer's and company's NMLS IDs, required state licence statements, Equal Housing Opportunity language, the company's identity, a privacy policy and accurate, balanced advertising claims. Exact requirements depend on your states, your company and its regulator — your compliance team confirms.

Do I need my NMLS ID on my website?

Most states require a mortgage loan originator's NMLS unique identifier in advertising, which includes websites, and many companies require it on every page. We show it in the footer of every page and on your profile.

Do I need the Equal Housing Opportunity logo?

Many lenders must display an Equal Housing Opportunity or Equal Housing Lender statement or logo, depending on their regulator, and many companies require it on all marketing. We include the statement as text; the official logo is added from your company's asset.

Does my company need to approve my website?

Often, yes. Many mortgage companies review and approve LO marketing, and some restrict personal websites. We provide copy, screenshots and a compliance summary to make approval straightforward.

Is a mortgage website covered by ADA?

Courts and the Department of Justice have treated websites of public-facing businesses as subject to accessibility expectations. We build to WCAG 2.2 AA and publish an accessibility statement; no website is perfect, so we fix reported issues promptly.

What about privacy laws like CCPA?

California's CCPA/CPRA and other state privacy laws may apply depending on your company and visitors. Your site includes a privacy policy, cookie consent that gates analytics, and a data-request page; your company supplies its own GLBA privacy notice where required.

Are calculators a compliance risk?

They can be if they look like offers. Ours show assumptions, say they are estimates, avoid presenting a specific rate as available, and point to a loan officer for real numbers.

Do you guarantee compliance?

No — and nobody honest can. We build to the common requirements, write conservatively and make review easy. Your company's compliance team is responsible for approving your marketing.
